Matthew Paige Damon was born on
October 8, 1970, in Cambridge, Massacusetts. He is the son of Kent
Damon, a stockbrocker, and Nancy Carlsson-Paige, a child psychologist.
Matt has a brother named Kyle who is an artist and is three years older.
His parents divorced when he was two years old. Damon attended Harvard
University, but had to keep leaving and coming back to do films and
still hasn't graduated. Matt loves to watch football and drink beer. His
best friend is Ben Affleck, and he is currenly dating Winona Ryder.
Damon has also been linked to actresses Claire Danes, Minnie Driver and

Accomplishments
Damon turned his 30-page short story for a Harvard creative writing
class into the screenplay for Good Will Hunting with the help of
Affleck over a 10-year period. Damon received a Golden Globe award and
Academy nomination for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting.
He also received a Golden Globe and Academy Award nomination for Best
Actor in Good Will Hunting.
