CCC - WINEWS - WINEMAIL
An introduction to WiNews and WinEmail:
Would you like to receive our WiNews on your GSM-phone?
Would you also like to receive WinEmail in your mailbox?
Now, you can apply for one of these services or both. There is no obligation whatsoever and the services are free of any charge. However, the services has two limitations:
1.: A limited subscription-period of approximately 3 months (except for CCC-Members)
2.: A limited number of subscribers (except for CCC-Members)
But let us explain the above:
WiNews
WiNews has been active since SMS was invented and Club Cru Classé was the first wine-association offering its members this opportunity of receiving useful information concerning wine.
Apart from the general news, messages include notifications of updates on our site, especially
concerning cult-wines and events.
Bargains, auctions and other wine-related information are transmitted from time to time as well.
As the WiNews primarily is intented to service our members, we maintain the right to decline
subscription. It goes without saying, that the CCC has an interest in reaching as many
wine-enthusiasts as possible, however there is a natural upper limit in terms of workload imposed on us.
Nevertheless, we have decided to offer this service for free throughout 1998 and part of 1999 as well.
Please note that your GSM-operator and/or your phone may not provide the SMS-service.
Therefore, we suggest you obtain information hereof prior to your WiNews-application.
It should also be noted, that the CCC cannot be held responsible in any way, directly or indirectly for the contents of the information forwarded to you.
WinEmail
WinEmail is a mailinglist in which you are invited to submit any information, question / answerback, opinion,- well in fact any subject, as long as it is related to wine. If you are unfamiliar with mailinglists, this is to inform you, than whenever you send a message by email to the WinEmail-group, all other participants receives your message in their mailbox. This has several advantages. If you for instance have a question, you will soon have some answer(s) hereto. Also, you do not have to login at some homepage to see other peoples answer(s) to your question (if any answer at all, at the time of login). All in all, it is much more convenient to have the feedback from members of the WinEmail in your mailbox. Its timesaving as well. There is one negative sideeffect, which is the fact, that some adds will be quoted at the bottom of the mail. We ourselves prefer to be without, but we do not pay for the service of this mailinglist. We only suggest that you in most cases look apart from those adds and focus only on the wine-issues. Please remember to select the WinEmail and/or WiNews-subscription. The language for WinEmail is currently english. In the future, we might introduce WinEmail in other languages too.
