About Bibliotheca Accipitraria
'Bibliotheca Accipitraria' is a overview of some of the litterature existing on falconry and birds of prey. The model is a bibliography, made for the members of Dansk Falkejagtklub - the danish falconers club. It is not a complete or final survey: I aim to get all known titles included in a later edition. My sources are librarian databases as DanBib and the one at Library of Congress, bibliographies, as the original 'Bibliotheca Accipitraria', Barber's 'A Supplementary Bibliography of Hawking' and booklists in the books on falconry I get close enough to lay my hands on. Like this, I only have a few of the titles on my own; and the information I have on many titles are incomplete. If You in any way can help me complete the 'Bibliotheca' I would be most gratefull.
Contrary to earlier printed editions, titles have been divided according to subject. Most books though contain chapters on more than one subject. In such cases I've had to choose what I find most important.
The chapter on manuals from the 19th century and before, lists almost only english titles. If You want information on titles on other languages, You are wellcome to mail me. I have information on titles in most languages, from european to oriental. In due time I will include these titles in the 'Bibliotheca'.
Because of the very different sources I make use of, I have started to mark references according to their reliability:
****

*
- I have had the title in my hand.
- The source is a acknowledged database, bibliography, catalogue or reference list.
- The title is forwarded to me by others.
- I've heard of it, but have no other references to support me.
