Subject: The elusiveBrockmeister Mr. Leeming,
I have a fairly popular folk music coffeehouse, in
New York state. A performer who has played my venue from Calif., caught
your querie about Jaime on the web/net and contacted me. Jaime is one of
my best friends and is my "house band", at the coffeehouse. He's
playing march 23, for me.
(SEE JAIME`S PERSONAL QUOTE`s...)
He plays twice a year at the coffeehouse each year, at my summer outdoor
festival, and lives with me on and off throughout the year depending on
his journeys. Oh, by the way, it's not 33 yrds., it's 497 & a half
feet of rope, ...."I just carry it man (hee hee)". Anyway, if
you want some Brockett info, let me know. He just released a new tape called
"Road Dance". I you want a copy it's $15 american. Every dime
will go to Jaime. People have a tendency to loose sight of the legends.
Folk music as with poetry does not play much in this country. It's a freedom
of expression, like art, which our gov't would rather do without. Good
to know there is a fan out there. Maybe I'll have Jaime e-mail you when
he's here that weekend. PS. I do 120 folk shows a year. If you're ever
in the states on a weekend and in Upstate New York lookin' for something
to do...stop by. Happy listening...No surrender-No compromise
