Workshop in Oriental Dance
from the Middle East

Health, consciousness, a graceful bodyline...

Health, consciousness, a graceful bodyline, strength and flexibility of the body, selfconfidence, selfsatisfaction and rhythms...

This - and more - is what the oriental dance gives a person, who wants to learn the variety of the steps and bodymovements!

The workshop is based on throughout learning of the consciousness of the body, a comprehension of the dancetechnique, the rhythms and culture from the Middleeast.

The lessons always starts with a program of warming-up the body, and in the end a strectching out program.

WHAT IS ORIENTAL DANCE?
Oriental Dance comes from the Middleeast and Northafrica. It is one of the most ancient dances in the history of civilization, and originally it was a dance of fertility only for women.
The oriental rhythms/ music has as well a great influence in the history of civilization. The optimistic messages of the dance has for milleniums been delivered through lots of generations. Certain steps and movements has also been used in the folkloristic dancestyles.
The dance is sensual, beautiful, joyful, feminine and expresses beauty, happiness, vitality and openness - feelings that give rise to a happy
