With the action heating up and the
stretch run in full swing, players in the
Washington-California Fantasy Hockey League will soon be
getting a
well-deserved break. That's right people, it's All Star
Game time.
The ballots have been set and the rules established, all
that remains is voting and players taking the ice. The
format this season is quite simple.
The All Star weekend will be a best-of-three East v. West
format. The teams for each conference will be selected by
the votes of that conferences General Managers and one
volunteer from each side will be responsible for setting
the lines and leading their squads to glory.
As far as the voting goes, each GM will select 4
defensemen out of a total 14, 3 forwards at each forward
position out of a total of 7 per position and 2
goaltenders out of a total of 7. The resulting rosters
will have 13 forwards (4 LW, 4 C, 4 RW and the next
highest vote getter), 7 defensemen and 3 goalies.
With the rosters set, the two sides shall go to war.
Voting commences immediately and will run through Sunday,
July 6. Once the votes are tabulated and volunteer
coaches have come forward, the games will commence and
the WCFHL's best and brightest will shine.
