GLIDERS

My gliders.

Windstyrke 12 is a Danish slope glider, this one is for the windy days - the days with storm ! On these days this plane is fast and fun to fly.

The plane is build from a drawing from the Danish magazine "modelflyvenyt"

Piberos, Victory and Windstyrke 12

Piberos is the well known depron glider.
Interested in Piberos, look here: Piberos.

Victory is my oldest plane, an A-1 free flight glider build from a kit from the DMI-company. (Dansk Modelflyve Industri, a company that unfortunately today are closed)

I was 12 years old (that's some days ago!) when I build the kit. The glider was used for free flight in some years. This Victory is actually my second Victory - the first one disappeared in good thermals a day where the thermals brake on the plane didn't work. The thermals brake was these days a homemade fuse, that was burning very badly.

I have later rebuild the Victory, extended the wingspan with 20 cm, and added RC.
A S400 with gearbox and 8 pcs. AR500 power the plane into the air.
This is the plane for the calm days flying speed can be less than working speed!

Last Down XXL

With a wingspan at 3,2 meter this is a quite big glider. The glider ia a ARF-kit from Staufenbiel.

I use a LRK 345/25, 10 cells and a 16x10 prop in this glider. The power consumption are close to 80A. This power setup can get the plane up to a very good hight in a few seconds.

I use the Skypanel in this plane for finding thermals, Take a look at: My electronic.

A fine glider.

Mini

With a wingspan less than 70 cm, and a weight close far below 100 g this is my mini glider.

A ready to fly free flight glider where I have installed RC. For the fine days.

SB-10 Semi-scale glider

At Intermodellbau 2002 at the Rc-Tronics-Rippin, I found this kit.
A semi scale SB10 glider with 4,8 m. wingspan.
I did what I know most model builders do: Bought the kit immediate. After that the time were passing by, without anything happened at all on the building process (even though the kit was a ARF-kit). But finaly in the spring 2006, the glider was ready to fly.

I had decided to build the plane with a motor, that's to difficult to find someone with a motor plane that can get the glider into the air. I have therfore mounted a LRK motor in the plane. I am then able to fly when I want to do it.
The motor is powered from a 3S KOKAM H5 LiPo pack with 5.000 MaH. Power consumption is 70 A. The controller is a Speedy sprint.

I have made a small trolley, that have a seperate RX and battery for the steering, the plane are then able to start from the ground. The plane takes off from the trolley like a normal plane with wheels, the trolley stay on the ground.

I also use the Skypanel in this plane for finding thermals, Take a look at: My electronic.

TERRY

A simple Graupner foam kit. I build mine with ailerons (not planned in the kit). In addition I have reinforced the wing with carbonfibre. Thats importent to do, because the original wing is very weak, the original wing will break as soon as the plane is used for some fun flying...

I use the std. S400 motor and 8 pcs. AR500/AE600. I am not the big form plane lover.....but a plane like this is OK on a fine summer evening.
I have later removed the S-400 motor, because I only use the plane on the slope, with the ailerons it's a perfect little plane for that.
