Born in 1923 in Liège. Georges Collignon painted abstract compositions
consisting of harmonic squares of colors spontaniously created by lines
and crosslines in a very Cobra-like style.
During Cobra time he was not directly involved in the movement. In stead
he was involved in a smaller but similar group called Realité.
Because of the artistic similarities between the two groups the name Realité
was later changed to Realité Cobra. At the last Cobra exhibition
i Liège in 1951, members of Realité Cobra, among these George
Collignon, was invited to exhibit.
