Born in 1929 in Bruges in Belgium. His expressions as a painter was dramastic
and abstract, but during Cobra time it was mainly as a writer he expressed
himself. From 1948 he published several poetries, novels, theatre plays
and a single manuscript for a film.
In 1950 he got in touch with Cobra through Dotremont, with whom he painted
several dessin-mots (word paintings).
