Born in 1909. Debuted as a painter in 1942. He was one of the founders
of the danish group Spiralen, and he was one of the artists that decorated
a borrowed house in Bregnerød in Denmark in the summer of 1949.
The house belonged to the School of Architecture, and it was decorated
in a spontanious happening from floor to ceiling over a weekend.
Together with Alfred H. Lilliendahll were among others Asger Jorn, Carl-Henning
Pedersen and Ejler Bille. The house was later known as the Cobra house,
and the happening is considered the first Cobra congress.
