Born in 1923. Started as a sculptor in 1941. Studied at the Art Institute
in Chicago. Traveled to Paris in 1948 to work and study with Léger.
While in Paris he was contacted by Corneille who invited him to exhibit
at the legendary Cobra exhibition in Amsterdam in 1949.
