Liege: Foundation of Realité a small group of artists in Belgium with similar goals as the artists of Cobra.

Amsterdam: Foundation of the Nederlandse Experimentele Group. Their magazine Reflex was published once in 1948 and once in 1949.

Paris: Foundation of the Cobra movement in November, 1948.

Copenhagen & Brussels: Publication of the first issue of the periodical Cobra.

Brussels: Publication of the Petit Cobra magazine and the Tout Petit Cobra flysheet.

Bregnerød, Denmark: Mural painting inside of a small house belonging to the danish Architect Scool.

Copenhagen: Publication of the Cobra Library, 15 small booklets about 15 different Cobra artists.

Liege: The second International exhibition of Experimental Art. This was the last exhibition in Cobra time, and soon after the movement ended.
