Genetic variation in Siamese and oriental cats

A little about genetic:

How its is showed:

Every living species becomes a gene from its mother and a gene from its father, therefore have every living species two identical genes.

The gene can be dominating and its showed with a capital letter ex. A, B, C, D etc.

The recessive gene is showed with corresponding letter ex. a, b, c, d etc.

A Cat with Aa have a dominate A and and Recessive a gene.

Homozygous and Heterozygous:

If a Cat have to identical genes e.x. AA or aa it's call Homozygous, because both genes are identical.

if a cat have to different genes e.x. Aa or aA it's call Heterozygous with that gene

The different between the to genes is that the dominant gene gives the character if there is just one dominant gene

the recessive gene must be homozygous to give the character

The A gene (agouti) give the possibility to have stripes and spots.

The a gene gives same colour for the cat

If you mate to Homozygotic Cats, with the same gene ex. AA x AA or aa X aa you only get AA or aa kittens.

If you mate to Homozygotic Cats, one with AA and one with aa , the dominant gene will dominate and the kitten will all be

Heterozygotic Aa and all kitten will carrie the recessive gene.

In the examble above we mate to heterozygotic cats and we get one Homozygotic kitten with Dominant gene AA, we get two Heterozygotic kitten Aa and one Homozygotic recessive kitten aa.

The kittens Phenotype (How they looks like) is Three Agouti kitten (With spots) AA, Aa, Aa, that because the Heterozygotic kitten With both A and a , there will the Dominant gene A give the character (spots) and one Non agouti Recessive aa
